The Transat....its coming
Well...here it comes, we are only 17 days away from the start on this true classic.
A race that started back in the 60's and has always been one of the most feared races due to both the history of the race and when solo ocean racing really started to come alive but the conditions that are faced by the sailors.
With the vast array of size as well as types of boat, but also male and female teams that will compete, instantly all earn huge respect for their endeavour and courage.
It is going to be truly a great honour that I will be there to MC and commentate throughout the build up to the race as well as the start based in Plymouth over the April / May Bank Holiday weekend. Along side me legendary ocean racer herself Dee Caffari, providing her insights and knowledge into the race and sailors.
If you want to find out more about the race check out the website www.thetransat.com
And please come down to Plymouth anytime from the 29th April - 2nd May to see these amazing machines and the heroic sailors that will be setting sail for New York on the 2nd May.
