UK Cadet Nationals 2016

A tough event for all the sailors with tricky variable conditions within Portland Harbour. The Cadet World Team all fighting hard to hone their skills before heading to Argentina later this year.

Working with a group of these team sailors allowed us to breakdown areas of the race course, the weather, strategy and much more to allow them greater knowledge of being able to read whats happening on the course and apply that to their racing.

Seeing these sailors apply just that shows the calibre of the sailors and their maturity in dealing with pressures on and off the water (including for many their exam results mid way through). The team are very strong and when applying the right actions to the information they collect under these pressured situations they will surely come out on top at the World Championships.

To learn more about the team, how you can get behind them and also sponsor them click on the link below that will take you to their specific team website.

Moving on from the Nationals I have agreed to continue as the National Cadet Class Coach for another season of squad trainings, with the support of a couple fantastic sailors / coaches to support me is sure to be another cracking year.
